Laurasia Community is committed to advancing a more sustainable, transparent, responsible, and resilient food system in Vietnam. Our work focuses on four interconnected priorities: Sustainability, Traceability, Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), and Animal Welfare.

Vietnam’s livestock and aquaculture sectors are important contributors to food security, rural livelihoods, economic development, and international trade. At the same time, the rapid transformation of these sectors creates challenges related to environmental sustainability, food safety, supply-chain transparency, responsible antimicrobial use, animal health, and animal welfare.

Laurasia Community believes that these challenges cannot be addressed separately. Healthy animals, responsible antimicrobial use, transparent supply chains, environmental sustainability, and good animal welfare are closely connected. By bringing together farmers, businesses, researchers, veterinarians, policymakers, civil-society organizations, and other stakeholders, we aim to encourage collaboration and practical solutions across the entire value chain.

Our focus is to support the development of responsible and evidence-based production systems that improve animal health and welfare, strengthen traceability, reduce the risks associated with antimicrobial resistance, and promote more sustainable use of natural resources.

Through knowledge sharing, partnerships, capacity building, research, dialogue, and innovation, Laurasia Community seeks to contribute to a stronger and more sustainable food system in Vietnam, one that benefits farmers, animals, consumers, businesses, and the environment.

Our vision is simple: better production, healthier animals, safer food, responsible antimicrobial use, transparent supply chains, and a sustainable future for Vietnam.
